Today, people with diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and other chronic illnesses have many questions; but they have few resources for obtaining timely, accurate information. The creation of Dougherty’s Health & Wellness Center is an ideal solution to this dilemma. The trained pharmacists, dietitians, nutritionists, and home medical equipment staff are readily available in a convenient, caring, and friendly in-store environment to answer questions, offer seminars, in-depth courses, and to educate patients on how to improve their nutrition, which ultimately improves the quality of their life as they successfully manage their disease. The first disease state the Center will focus on is diabetes. Additional programs will be announced in the near future.
