The pharmacy was founded by Bill Dougherty in 1929. After surviving the Great Depression and an attempted robbery by the infamous Bonnie and Clyde, the store flourished thanks to a customer-oriented philosophy that emphasized our customer’s well-being. Today, Dougherty’s employs leading-edge technology, while still embracing the personal, friendly service that first attracted customers 80 years ago.

Both! We can fill literally any prescription, from the simplest to the most complex. When dispensing basic prescriptions, we also provide information and advice.

Plus, Dougherty’s is one of the largest compounding pharmacies in the Southwest, and one of the few in Dallas. Our compounding lab creates prescriptions that meet your specific needs, including hard-to-find medicines, unique dosages, non-traditional delivery methods, and drugs created in a sterile environment. You can refill your prescription three different ways. Online, visit our home page here. On the left-hand side, simply fill out the form with your prescription number, phone number, and the first three letters of your last name. You can also call 214-373-5300 and use our automated prescription refill line, or speak directly with a pharmacist.

Not at this time. While we are continuing to expand our online ordering capabilities, Dougherty’s is unable to process a request for a new prescription online at this time. All new prescriptions must be requested by a doctor’s office or medical professional. Feel free to call one of our pharmacists at 214.373.5300 if you need help obtaining a new prescription order from your doctor’s office.

Yes. Simply call us at 214-373-5300. We can deliver prescriptions and home medical equipment to you by courier, mail or Federal Express.

Dougherty’s provides special services for customers in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospice centers and home care settings.
