Joe B. Park recently celebrated his 50th anniversary at Dougherty’s, where he is the Pharmacist in Charge. As a pharmacist right out of school in 1959, Joe joined his father, George, who then owned the store. Joe is an icon in the pharmacy community. His wisdom and advice are sought by the local media any time there is a question relative to flu, shingles or other health topics of interest to the community at large.
Joe is past president and an active member of the Dallas County Pharmaceutical Society, the National Community Pharmacists’ Association and The Texas Pharmaceutical Association. He earned a bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin.
Wayne McMeans has been a proud member of the professional pharmacy staff and leadership team at Dougherty’s for more than 16 years. Early in his career, Wayne learned the value of personal service and treating the customer like family – values he learned working in his father’s pharmacy nearly four decades ago. His dad would be proud of him. Today, Wayne still embodies the love and caring spirit necessary to provide Dougherty’s “Service from the Heart.”
Wayne received a degree in pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Pam Spraberry joined the Dougherty’s team in 1996. Pam particularly enjoys serving the home care and assisted living populations. Her career truly exemplifies the Dougherty’s idea of “Life Improved,” as Pam truly provides customers with Service from the Heart.
She graduated with a degree in pharmacy from Southwestern Oklahoma State University.
Lisa Bolling began her career with Dougherty’s in 2000. Lisa especially enjoys working with the pharmacy’s life-long customers, many of whom have grown to be her friends. In addition, she believes that the opportunity to help others is truly a blessing.
Lisa graduated from the Massachusetts College of Pharmacy in Boston. She is immunization certified and continues to expand her knowledge with continuing education.
Gary Hancock joined the Dougherty’s family in 2001, after working in both chain retail and independent pharmacy settings. As a pharmacist at Dougherty’s, Gary enjoys the opportunity to use his knowledge and experience to provide a higher level of service to patients than he was able to offer in the retail chain environment.
Gary is a member of the Texas Pharmaceutical Association and is certified in immunization. He graduated from the University of Houston College of Pharmacy in 1971. There, Gary was a member of Phi Delta Chi, the professional pharmacy fraternity, where he served as president in his senior year.
Gary gained a broad education even before entering college. Because of his father’s employment, he attended more than 30 schools in the United States and Canada before graduating with honors from a high school in Ashland, Ky.
Charlie Moore joined Dougherty’s in 2007 after a varied career that included ownership of a pharmacy. Charlie purchased his first pharmacy in Midland in 1976. He sold it in 2007 and moved to Plano.
Charlie earned a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Abilene Christian University, followed by a pharmacy degree at Southwestern Oklahoma State University. Charlie has served as president of the West Texas Pharmaceutical Association and Chairman of the Committee of Impaired Pharmacists. He also served with the National Guard, where he served as company commander for the 95th Division.
Paul Kamleiter rejoined Dougherty’s in 2008, coming back to the pharmacy he first served in the 1970s. Paul recently served as pharmacist in charge at one of the Dallas area’s chain pharmacies.
He graduated from the University of Cincinnati, where he received both the Outstanding Senior and Dean’s Award. Originally licensed in Ohio and Kentucky, Paul moved to Dallas in 1971. He is a past president of the Dallas County Pharmaceutical Society.
